Draft — pending legal review
This page is a working draft prepared for review by FleetMe’s solicitor. It has not been approved and should not be relied on as final terms. Items marked [CONFIRM] are awaiting facts from the business; items marked [NEEDS HUMAN SIGN-OFF] are legal judgements that only a qualified adviser can settle.
These terms govern your use of this website and the quotation process that runs through it. By using the site or sending us an enquiry, you accept them. Read them alongside our privacy & cookie policy.
1. Who we are
FleetMe is a trading name of [CONFIRM: registered company name], a company registered in England & Wales (company number [CONFIRM: company number]), registered office [CONFIRM: registered office], Telford, Shropshire, [CONFIRM]. We trade from Telford, Shropshire, and work with businesses across England & Wales. You can reach us at info@fleetme.co.uk.
src/lib/site.config.js until the owner supplies them.
They must be correct and displayed before this site goes live.
2. What we do
FleetMe supplies vehicles. Where we agree to supply one, we are the owner of that vehicle and your agreement is with us. We do not pass your enquiry to a third party to contract with you in our place.
We offer two products, and which one applies depends on who the customer is:
- Business contract hire — for limited companies and LLPs, on terms of 24 to 60 months. The agreement is between the company and FleetMe.
- Short-term vehicle rental — for individuals, including sole traders hiring for their work, for a maximum of 89 days. If you want a vehicle for longer at the end of that period, that is arranged as a genuinely new rental agreement. It is not an extension of the old one and it does not happen automatically.
We do not offer contract hire or leasing to individuals or sole traders, and we do not offer rental agreements that run beyond 89 days. If you are a sole trader who wants a vehicle on a longer commitment, the route is a limited company, which can take business contract hire. We would rather explain that than sell you the wrong product.
This website is an information and enquiry service. Nothing on it is an offer to enter into an agreement, and no agreement exists between us until we have issued a written quotation, you have accepted it, and a hire agreement has been signed.
3. Quotes are indicative until confirmed in writing
Every figure shown on this site is a guide price. Guide prices illustrate what a vehicle typically costs on a particular term, mileage and initial rental — they are not a quotation and they are not binding on either of us.
For business contract hire, your actual monthly rental is confirmed in writing once we know your vehicle, specification, contract term, annual mileage, initial rental, any maintenance package and the outcome of our assessment of the business. For short-term rental, the rate is confirmed when we confirm the vehicle and the dates. Until that written confirmation is issued and accepted, any figure you have seen or been given — on the site, by email or in conversation — remains indicative and may change.
Business contract hire prices are shown excluding VAT unless the page says otherwise, because that is how business buyers compare cost; rental prices to individuals are shown including VAT. Each page says which it is showing. VAT treatment depends on your own circumstances and how the vehicle is used; we are not tax advisers and you should take your own advice.
4. Availability, specification and lead times
- Vehicle availability changes constantly. A vehicle listed on the site may be unavailable by the time you enquire.
- Manufacturers change specification, model years, options and list prices without notice to us. Details on this site are our understanding at the time of publication and may be out of date.
- Lead times and delivery dates are estimates given in good faith and depend on the manufacturer and the supplying dealer. We will tell you what we know and keep you updated, but we cannot commit to a delivery date until it is confirmed to us.
- Images, illustrations and body-type graphics are for identification only and may not show the exact vehicle, trim or colour offered.
5. Enquiries and applications
- Our enquiry forms are for people aged 18 or over. Where the enquiry is for a company, you must be authorised to make it on that company’s behalf.
- Tell us honestly whether you are enquiring for a limited company or LLP, or in your own name. It determines which of our two products you can have, and we would rather establish that at the start than at the end.
- Please give us accurate and complete information. We rely on what you tell us when we assess an application and prepare a quotation, and an inaccurate answer may mean an offer is withdrawn.
- Making an enquiry is free and puts you under no obligation.
- We assess every application on its merits and we may decline one. Where we cannot help, we will tell you so honestly rather than leave you waiting.
- We may carry out checks relevant to the proposed agreement, including checks with credit reference agencies and fraud prevention agencies. Our privacy & cookie policy explains what that involves. [CONFIRM] — the exact checks, the agencies used and the point in the process at which they run.
6. Your agreement is a separate document
These terms of use do not set out the terms on which you have a vehicle. If your enquiry proceeds we will issue a separate agreement, and which one depends on your product:
- A business contract hire agreement — covering the vehicle, the rental, the term, the mileage allowance and excess mileage charges, maintenance and servicing obligations, insurance requirements, the condition the vehicle must be returned in, early termination, and what happens at the end of the contract.
- A short-term rental agreement — covering the vehicle, the rate, the start and end dates, mileage, insurance, fuel and charging, damage, and what happens if the vehicle comes back late. It has a fixed end date of no more than 89 days from the start.
You will have the opportunity to read the agreement before you sign it.

7. Our status
Your statutory rights are not affected by anything in these terms. Where you rent a vehicle in your own name as a consumer, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you rights about the quality and description of what you hire, and those rights stand whatever these terms say.

8. Using this website
You may use this site for your own business purposes and to enquire about vehicles. You must not:
- copy, scrape, republish or resell any part of the site or our vehicle data;
- use the site in a way that damages it, interferes with other users, or attempts to gain unauthorised access to it;
- submit false information, or an enquiry on someone else’s behalf without their authority;
- use the site or our contact details to send unsolicited marketing to us.
9. Intellectual property
The content, layout, design, code, text and branding on this site belong to us or to our licensors and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may view and print pages for your own business use. Any other use — copying, adapting, framing, or republishing — needs our written permission first. Vehicle manufacturer names, model names and logos belong to their respective owners and are used on this site only to describe the vehicles we can supply.
10. Links to other websites
Where we link to a third-party website, we do so for information. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content, their products or their handling of your data.
11. Availability of the site
We provide this site “as is”. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of anything harmful, and we may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time without notice.
12. Our liability to you
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. Nothing here affects your statutory rights.
Subject to that, and to the fullest extent the law allows: these terms of use relate to the website and the enquiry process, and we are not liable for business losses arising from your use of the site — including lost profits, lost business, lost revenue, loss of anticipated savings, or reliance on a guide price, an availability indication or an estimated delivery date that later changed. Our responsibilities in relation to a vehicle we supply are set out in the hire agreement for that vehicle, not here.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The “last updated” date at the top shows the current version, and the version that applies to you is the one published when you used the site.
14. Governing law
These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of this website, are governed by the law of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
